Mojacar is a wonderfully relaxing area sharing the same climate as the Costa del Sol but without the crowds and the expense. Seldom very busy it is easy to use the local attractions, visit superb beaches and head off and explore in comfort. Wherever you are in Mojacar you are never far from a superb golf course, a sandy beach, good shopping and a range of varied restaurants utiising local produces and fish to prepare mouthwatering cuisine.

Casa Corelli is a very attractive and comfortable semi-detached house a stroll away from the beach. It is a unique property set within a small Spainish community complex which has a tennis court and communual pool.
The large pool has an adjacent splash pool for toddlers it is set in well kept gardens with plenty of terrace and lawn space to enjoy the facilities or just relax. It is easy to keep an eye on children in the communual area from the house and sunbeds are available. Children can play and you can easily keep an eye on them from your lounger !

The house is ideal for large familites, parties of friends and golfers. It sleeps six in two double bedrooms and one twin room. Both of the double rooms have doors to a balcony, one towards the sea, the other overlooking the tennis court. All bedrooms have air-conditioning. There are two bathrooms.

Casa Corelli is in a good location in a quiet area of the resort of Mojacar nearby is the beach, several restaurants and a well-stocked grocery shop. The centre of the resort
Parque Commerical is a 15 minute stroll away where there are banks, shops and more restaurants. A large supermarket with butchers, fishmonger and bakery is nearby.

In the car the old village of Mojacar is a few minutes away and not much further is the fishing port of Garrucha, which is famed for its fish restaurants and bustling weekly market. There are numerous walks from Casa Corelli along the beachfront towards Garrucha and Vera, and inland to explore the old Spanish village. A regular bus service runs from the road, approximately 3 minutes from the house.

Places to visit
At nearby Vera, there is a traditional bullring and a new waterpark for the children. Mini Hollywood a purpose built tourist attraction which is the setting for many westerns is a short drive away. The ceramics and carpets of Nijar, the nature park at Cabo de Gata and the cave houses of Cuevas de Almanzora are worth a visit.

Attractions, Sport

The whole area of Almeria is gaining a wonderful reputation with people in the know, and deservedly so. There are several world-class golf resourts nearby, of particular note is Valle del Este golf resort with views to the sea. Desert Springs course in nearby Almanzora is the only desert course in Europe and has been developed as a themed resort. Marina de la Torre between Mojacar and Garrucha is a beautiful coastal course with fairways alongside the ruined Palacio de la Marina, soon to be restored as the centrepiece of a new hotel. Our favourite is Cortigo Grand, a stunning location in the lower hills of the Cabrera mountains.

Watersports are available at various locations along the long sandy beach during the summer months and there is a great waterpark just off the Vera Playa with slides, plumes and pools to linger in.

The desert area to the west of Mojacar was the setting for many epic spaghetti western, on a day trip you can visit on of the stage sets and enjoy a day in the wild, wild West !


Nearest airports
Fly into Almeria, Alicante or Murcia. The closest is Almeria. The cheapest flights are usually to Alicante and Murcia. Murcia airport is not close to the motorway as it is on the coast south east of Murcia town at San Javier. The more direct road route is from Alicante straight down the mediterranean motorway which takes about 2 hours, but is an easy and straightforward route. Driving time from Almeria is about an hour, and from Murcia about an hour and three quarters.

Taxi transfers can be arranged but a car is recommended to make the most of your stay on the Costa Almeria.
